There’s no way to sugarcoat how heavy my heart’s feeling this morning, after the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade was confirmed on Friday. Not many things get me riled these days, but every so often I find myself asking how the hell did we get here?
Fortunately the response from corporate America has been relatively positive, with a number of companies pledging to cover their employees’ travel expenses for any abortions. And if you’re looking for reading on the subject, Vox’s Nisha Chittal has you covered.
If you’re in the position to cover what’s happened or reproductive health in general, the ICFJ have some advice and tips. And the International Journalists’ Network have guidance on how to determine whether your reproting is being censored.

According to the CMDS, almost 80% of the 546 state-administered media companies in 151 countries covered by this report lack editorial independence. Not good.
