✍️✍️ Conferences, Deadlines, Events and Fellowships ✍️✍️ — November 18

Happy Friday people! Time for the third edition of our revamped Friday newsletter where we delve into upcoming conferences, deadlines, events and fellowships. New this week: we’ve added listings for December and those with rolling registration deadlines.

Before we do, check out last Monday’s jobs and news update where we looked into the recent bankruptcy of crypto exchange platform FTX, and what it means for journalism after a number of grants and donations from FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried are now in question.

Remember to join our Candidate Board if you want the best employers to contact you about new openings instead of the other way round. And if you have an opening at your organization and want it featured, fill out this form or email me at daniellevitt32@gmail.com.

This coming Monday we’ll take a look at the start of the 2022 men’s football World Cup in Qatar, and some of the big headlines heading into the tournament. If you’ve been following the build-up even remotely, you’ll know there’s a lot.

Until then, our updated list of conferences, events, deadlines and fellowships is below. Check out our free internships list, which we’re constantly updating and currently have almost 400 active openings. And lastly, check out our featured postings below at the likes of Bellingcat, Project Syndicate, Texas Monthly and Reuters.

Alright folks, enjoy your weekends and don’t freeze. Hasta lluego! 🥶
