This week is the last to vote in the American Journalism Online Awards! Run by New York University, the aim is to recognize excellence in reporting, writing and news production across genres and no matter the format.

Last Tuesday was also World Press Freedom Day. Unfortunately there's not a whole lot to celebrate on that front, as there’s been a two-fold increase in polarization against the press around the world, according to Reporters Without Borders.
